Collecting Personal Information
You can only join 20blinks by logging into your account with Facebook via www.20blinks.com. We will extract the Personal Information (i.e. any data concerning you as a person, which either specifically identifies you or through which you are likely to be identified) you have provided to Facebook, including but not limited to your “real” name, and use that information to create your Account. The Personal Information we extract may depend on the privacy settings you have with Facebook. Some of the Personal Information, for example your name and profile picture, is listed publicly on Facebook and therefore on 20blinks as well, including on your profile page and in search results. Other information, such as your password and email address, is not listed publicly on Facebook and will therefore not be listed publicly on 20blinks either.
Publicly Available Personal Information
Other people will be able to see the content you share on 20blinks, including people not logged into 20blinks such as one-time visitors. You understand that items in your Collections are publicly available and might be shared or copied by other people. The information and content you share on 20blinks may be indexed by third party search engines and be imported, exported, distributed, and redistributed by us and others without privacy limitations. You should consider that the Items you share in your Collection may also be associated with you, including your name and profile picture, even outside of 20blinks, such as on public search engines. 20blinks is primarily designed to help you share information with the world. Therefore, we trust that most of the information you provide to 20blinks is information you are asking us to make public. Note that these are not only the Items in your 20blinks Collections and the Data provided with those Items, but also the people you follow, the Items you drag from other Users’ Collections and drop into your own Collection (“ReBlink”), Items you like and many other bits of information.
Default Privacy Setting
Our default setting is to make most of the information you provide to 20blinks public. However, we will not make available information that is not listed as public on Facebook, unless you request us to do so. Keep in mind that public information is broadly and instantly disseminated. For example, the Items and Data you share are searchable by many search engines and can immediately be delivered to a wide range of users and services. You should be careful about all information that you share through 20blinks. You have to consider that after deleting content you posted on 20blinks, we will remove it from our servers, but have no control over its use outside of 20blinks. Remember that some of the information you share and the actions you take may show up in other Users’ Collections, on other Users’ home pages and other pages they visit. Even after you remove information from your own 20blinks collections or your profile, or even completely delete one of your Collections or your Account, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere to the extent it has been shared with others, or it was ReBlinked, or it was otherwise distributed. Remember also that certain types of communications that you send to other Users cannot be removed, such as messages.
